From SF to Hollywood
Mark Matsuno grew up in San Francisco, then moved to Los Angeles to become an in-demand art director in Hollywood, designing movie posters and promotions. The pandemic finally has given him more time to paint.
"I am truly fortunate to be a part of both creative worlds," says Matsuno. "I started a graphic design boutique specializing in movie art and I'm still actively working, yet finding time to paint. I enjoy depicting the beauty in things around me."
We are especially pleased to be able to introduce Mark Matsuno's urban landscape paintings, having known him for many years as a visitor to our gallery in San Francisco when he returned to visit his family.
