For more than 40 years, Gary Bukovnik has been painting boldly colored profusions of flowers in his San Francisco studio to wide acclaim. For much of that time, his work has been closely associated with the San Francisco Symphony, whose home showcases his paintings. His paintings are included in museum, corporate and private collections around the world.
In recent years, he has traveled and exhibited widely in China and begun to explore the kinship between his preferred medium — watercolor — and Asian art. And for the first time in a long career of painting florals, he has begun to explore the rose.
